Anyone who wants to communicate information is an information supplier. There are all kinds of information suppliers.
Some want to communicate information about themselves or their businesses; some want to promote new products; some want to
educate others by providing on-the-spot information about exhibits, landmarks, and other points of interest. The possibilities are
limitless. To be a Datoray information supplier you just need to create an account on this site and register your electronic tags.
Anyone who wants information is an information consumer. Information consumers receive their information from -- information
suppliers. To become a Datoray information consumer you need to download the Datoray app to your smartphone. Once downloaded
you can access information from all Datoray information suppliers, whether it's the
person sitting two rows ahead of you at the game, or the modern art museum that wants to tell you more about the masterpiece hanging in front
of you. Point is: there's one app for all situations.
First of all, Datoray users are never going to see you if you don't have your phone registered on the Datoray Portal. If your phone
is registered and you really don't want others to see you then there are 2 things that you can do. The first method is by changing the Public Visibility setting
associated with your tag on the Datoray Portal. To do this:
- Sign in to the Datoray Portal.
- Navigate to the My Tags tab.
- Select the tag you wish to modify from the Tag ID list at the top of the page.
- Look for the Public Visibility setting and choose Hide.
The second method is by changing the visibility setting from your smartphone. To do this:
- Start Datoray on your smartphone.
- From Menu select One-Way Visibility. Other Datoray users will no longer be able to see you.
However, you can still see others provided that they have not also chosen Hide or One-Way Visibility.

There are 2 steps required to ensure that others can see you. To do this:
- Sign in to the Datoray Portal.
- Navigate to the My Tags tab.
- Select the tag you wish to modify from the Tag ID list at the top of the page.
- Look for the Public Visibility setting and and make certain it is set to: Show.
The second step is to set the visibility setting on your smartphone. To do this:
- Start Datoray on your smartphone.
- From Menu select Two-Way Visibility. Other Datoray users should now be able to see you.
Note that Datoray will automatically revert to One-Way Visibility after approximately 5 minutes. This is due to
an Android constraint. Return to the menu and re-select Two-Way Visibility if you need extended visibility.

A PERSONAL account is designed primarily for information suppliers who wish to communicate about themselves -- either from a social
or business perspective. This is good for social and business networking situations where there are many people in close
proximity. This account can also be used for street fairs, booths, and other situations where you want to communicate information about yourself
or your business to passersby.
For PERSONAL accounts the number of tags that can be registered is limited to 5. PERSONAL accounts are free of charge.
COMMERCIAL accounts are for information suppliers who want to implement proximity-based information systems that cover
many different objects. A museum for example might have 20 or more electronic tags, each dedicated to a separate exhibit. Or
a local government may have a COMMERCIAL account to implement a walking tour of the city's historic districts.
Up to 50 electronic tags may be registered under a standard COMMERCIAL account. Usage statistics will be available for COMMERCIAL
accounts so that information suppliers can understand how their electronic tags are being used by consumers. Some COMMERCIAL
accounts will come with gauranteed service levels. There will be a nominal monthly fee for
COMMERCIAL accounts. Note: COMMERCIAL accounts are not currently being offered but will be available soon. Please check back
